O meu primeiro dia na Faculdade

Hi everyone!
Como muitos sabem, este ano entrei na Universidade. Neste caso, fiquei no curso de Optometria e Ciências da Visão que, como disse no post anterior, não foi bem a minha melhor opção, o que me fez (e ainda faz) ter dúvidas sobre o concurso à segunda fase. Contudo, acabei por me conformar e ontem fui à receção dos novos caloiros. E é sobre isso mesmo que vos venho falar hoje: o meu primeiro dia na Faculdade.
Como já estava à espera, o recinto é enorme e, como tal, não iria ser fácil encontrar a sala onde supostamente iria haver a apresentação das diferentes escolas, no meu caso, em conjunto com os alunos do curso de Física. Por isso, enquanto falava com uma vizinha antes mesmo de sair de casa, veio a tema de conversa a localização das salas, o que acabou por ser fácil de descobrir já que nos juntámos mais cedo para descobrir onde eram.
Chegou então a hora de os dois cursos (Optometria e Física) se separarem e irem com as entidades responsáveis pelo curso para uma sala para que tivessem uma pequena noção do que era o curso em que tinham entrado.
Foi nessa espécie de introdução à Optometria que tive a certeza de que não quero este curso para mim. E sim, isso fez com que, sem dúvida alguma, concorresse à segunda fase no final do dia, assim que cheguei a casa. Não espero entrar em nenhum dos que coloquei e, como tal, serei obrigada a continuar neste curso até ao final do ano para que, no fim deste possa pedir transferência de curso.
Entretanto, após o almoço oferecido pelo Reitor, os "Doutores" levaram-nos para fora do recinto para que fossemos praxados. Como não tinha nem disposição para a praxe e não quero ser praxada, acabei por ficar só a assistir, tendo ainda mais certeza de que não queria pertencer à praxe de forma alguma!
No fim desse evento, fomos ouvir o discurso do Reitor, o que demorou um pouco, mas não foi mau de todo!
Em relação ao dia no geral, até não foi do pior. Contudo, como já disse, não gostei do curso e farei de tudo para poder mudar para aquele que quero. Afinal, não se trata de eu me sentir "atraída" por um certo curso, mas sim de vocação. E sei que a Optometria não é a minha vocação!
E este foi o meu primeiro dia, de muitos, na faculdade. Espero que a vocês vos tenha corrido melhor o primeiro dia, quer tenha sido ontem, ou mesmo noutro ano qualquer. E àqueles que ainda vão entrar, espero que vos agrade a receção!

Hi everyone!
As many of you know, I joined the University this year. In this case, I'm in the course of Optometry and Vision Sciences which, as I said in the previous post, it wasn't exactly my best option, which made me (and still does) have doubts about the contest for the second phase. However, I  ended up conforming myself for it and yesterday I went to the reception of the new freshmen. And that's what I'm talking about today: my first day in the University.
As I was already waiting, the space is huge and as such, it wouldn't be easy to find the room where supposedly there would be the presentation of the different schools, in my case, together with the students of the Physics course. So while talking to a neighbor before we even left the University, it was a matter of conversation about the location of the rooms, which was easy to find since we got together earlier to find out where they were.
It was then time for the two courses (Optometry and Physics) to separate and go with the course organizers to a room so that they had a little idea of ​​what course they had entered.
It was in this kind of introduction to Optometry that I made sure that I don't want this course for myself. And yes, that undoubtedly led to the second phase at the end of the day, as soon as I got home. I don't expect to enter any of the ones I have placed and, as such, I will be obliged to continue this course until the end of the year so that, at the end of the year, I can request a transfer of course.
Meantime, after the lunch offered by the Rector, the "Doctors" took us outside the University so that we could have the "Praxe". Since I had no disposition to that and don't want that, I ended up just watching, being even more certain that I didn't want to belong to that practice in any way!
At the end of this event, we went to listen to the Rector's speech, which took a while, but it wasn't bad at all!
In relation to the day in general, it was not even worse. However, as I said, I didn't like the course and I'll do everything I can to change to the one I want. After all, it isn't about being "attracted" to a certain course, but to a vocation. And I know that Optometry is not my vocation!
And this was my first day, of many, in University. I hope you have had better on the first day, whether it was yesterday or even some other year. And to those who are still going to enter, I hope you enjoy the reception!
